I'm not sure where to post this but this seems the most likely place.
My elderly cat is doing fine but Tigger is is 2 1/2 is sick. He quit eating and by the time I got him to the vet was already in fatty liver disease. So we are force feeding and sticking pills down his throat and giving liquids under the skin. He hates it all.
He had never growled before in his life before we started having to do this to him.
He is very resistant to the force feeding so we may end up having to get a feeding tube put in for him to get nutrition.
We don't have pet insurance but will use the tax refund that was supposed to pay bills to save his life.
It just figures doesn't it.
He's the cat I least expected to get sick.

Sorry to spot this so late, but is Tigger any better? Whenever Sugar has stopped eating, there has always been a reason. One time it was that her teeth were hurting her and she needed to have them cleaned and a few pulled. The last few times it has been from her kidney disease and from dehydration/constipation... so getting special K/D foods and having her get fluids and an enema at the vet got her back to normal within a day. If your vet isn't helpful there are some cat groups on Livejournal that Tania can probably suggest if you'd like to ask others online.

Sorry I didn't see this until now... I've been so preoccupied with Sugar these last few weeks that I didn't think to check this forum until yesterday. I hope Tigger's doing better... Let us know what's going on... *hugs*
