11/19/2006 Rob: To quote a Monty Python line - 'now we see the violence inherent in the system." I wanted to have Sugar say that in the last frame, but it would be very uncharacteristic of Sugar, and blatantly going out of my way to quote Monty Python. So I've included it here for your enjoyment.
Sugar and SnowCrash have continued their one-sided relationship throughout the past few weeks now. SnowCrash keeps trying to win her over, but can't seem to do anything to win her affections. He'll walk up to her, flop down beside her, roll onto his back, and purr at her. She will growl at him, yowl at him, stare him down, and often walk away or avoid him entirely. In this particular sequence of photos, he was trying to win her affections, but gave up and decided to whack her one. She saw it on his mind (he was actually posed with one paw in the air for about a full minute before he struck), but no amount of threatening yowls were able to dissuade him from the temptation to strike a blow for frustrated male cats everywhere. She had such a fit after he actually whacked her that he was scared off.
