5/21/2007 Rob: Our weekend was crazy, but I did manage to get these pictures yesterday evening and found time to make a comic out of them tonight. There is indeed a cat under the bed, and I am not just taking pictures of SnowCrash acting oddly. He may be acting oddly in them, but he is definitely staring at a feline that's just out of sight. I thought about taking a show of glowing eyes in the darkness under the bed, but they just didn't glow enough on camera. You'll most likely get to see the newest cast member this Memorial Day weekend, when I anticipate having time to not only do a comic, but return to a favorite hobby of mine from oh-so-long-ago -- sleeping late.
SnowCrash keeps trying to be friendly with the new cat, but he/she is having none of it. I refuse to give away the gender just yet, so you'll have to wonder. He/She is still growling at the other cats; especially SnowCrash, who keeps trying to give him/her a friendly sniff and a playful whack to the head. Sugar is avoiding him/her, and refuses to share her space with the new cat, so he/she is currently residing in our bathroom. Since I hate having kitty litter on my bathroom floor, this will hopefully not have to last very long. Kosette lives in abject terror of the new cat.... despite having been close friends with him/her just a few years ago, before she moved to Maryland to come live with us.
